Position Summary
BCIT’s Operations Management Department is looking for a temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE, 15 contact hours) Faculty position available in its day school to teach courses relating to Business Operations Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking an Instructor committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students’ learning needs, and who value the importance of teamwork in the workplace.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A practitioner and the ability to teach in two or more of the following areas:
    • Six Sigma
    • Operations Management
    • Project Management
    • Quality Management
    • Process Design and Improvement

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications,
  • Ability to work in a collegial environment,
  • Ability to lead other instructors and be led by other instructors in a team-teaching model,

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution,
  • Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience,
  • Membership or certification in appropriate professional bodies (e.g. ASCM, PMI, SCMA, ASQ)

Salary Range Salary Range: $63,150 - $110,238 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
