Position Summary | Are you looking to start an exciting career with one of BC’s top Employers? Are you flexible, dynamic, adaptable and passionate about what you do? BCIT’s in-house Auxiliary Support Services is looking for high caliber individuals to join our team for a variety of temporary administrative assignments. Auxiliaries provide support where employees are absent from the job due to sick leave, vacation, on training courses or to assist on projects or with heavy workloads at any of our campuses. Due to the varying demand for services, there may be breaks between assignments; we therefore cannot guarantee ongoing employment. This competition is on-going with opportunities for part-time or full-time hours of work. |
Duties & Responsibilities |
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include front-line customer service and clerical work including data entry and general or senior administrative support. Serving our workforce at our various campuses, placement may vary from one day to several months in duration. Work assignments vary in complexity and initiative, and all offer a variety in terms of challenge and value. Some roles are extremely challenging while others are busy, but routine in nature. |

QUALIFICATIONS:
BCIT Human Resources accepts auxiliary pool applications on an ongoing basis. Please note: these are the minimum required qualifications. This position is a dayshift position as defined in Article 14.1 of the Collective Agreement. |

Salary Range | Salary varies based on position: $27.11 - $38.25 per hour. |
Additional Salary Information | External hires are initially placed at the minimum of the salary range with set progressions to the maximum as per the Collective Agreement. Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. |
