Position Summary
Are you a dynamic and energetic individual looking for new challenges? BCIT is looking for a regular, full-time BCGEU Faculty to join the Millwright Group.

The department also offers training and support in developing teaching skills. Possession of or willingness to obtain the Provincial Instructors Diploma would be an asset, and is required to reach maximum salary step. Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITES:

PROGRAMS AND COURSES THAT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WOULD PREPARE AND DELIVER INCLUDE:
  • Full-time Foundation training in Entry Level for those wanting to enter the Millwright trade.
  • All levels of the Millwright Apprenticeship.
  • Industry Service courses in Millwright Training.
  • Part-time courses including Millwright CQ Refresher and Hydraulics.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years’ recent work experience as a journeyperson in the Millwright field.
  • Millwright BC Trades Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • The ability to teach all aspects of the curriculum is required.
  • Preference will be given to those with teaching and curriculum development experience. is an asset.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal skills and a desire to share knowledge with others.
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience using internet and email preferred.
  • High standard of technical excellence.
  • Innovative with a proven track record in the industry.
  • Enjoy teamwork in a dynamic and exciting environment.

Salary Range Salary range: $68,375 - $101,563 per annum
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.
